Bio: I have been a nurse since 1993 my specialty-pediatrics. working on the Float Team at Minneapolis Childrens until choosing to work in PACU in January 2001. I fell in love with the patients, staff and the challenge of the dynamic environment. That love helped me to pursue certification-CPAN in 2004 and CAPA in 2007. I have a degree in English from Mankato State University, an AD in Nursing from Anoka Ramsey Community College and my MSN from the University of Phoenix. When I completed my certifications and came near to the end of my Masters I chose to pursue a leadership opportunity with St. John's Hospital. My hope is that I can help encourage bedside nurses to pursue certification and help raise the bar for care in the area of perianesthesia nursing. There are huge amounts of best practice happening everyday and I look forward to helping people share that information so our patients-no matter where they receive care-get nothing but the best. On a personal note-I live a quiet life with my dog. When I have time I love all kinds of crafts. | ||
